5 Cosy Comforting Easy Bakes
I’m not a big baker but there’s nothing quite as comforting and soothing as the smell of baking something delicious at home. There’s also a lot of pleasure and joy in baking a big batch and having extra to give to loved ones or your community who might appreciate it more than you know. So here’s a round up of 5 of my favourite cosy, comforting and best of all… easy bakes!
Hazelnut & Raisin Fairtrade Banana Bread
This recipe is a great way to enjoy wonderful Fairtrade ingredients with added crunch from sesame seeds and hazelnuts and juiciness from raisins, you can also add chocolate chunks too if you fancy. Please look out for Fairtrade whenever you shop.
Tahini Choc Chip Cookies from Eat Green
This is a very special exclusive recipe from my cookbook *Eat Green*. The dough freezes well so double up and save half for a rainy day. Just defrost, then slice into portions before putting in the oven. For a nut-free alternative, swap the nut butter for seed butter or tahini.
Chocolate & Hazelnut Bake
We all need a quick & simple chocolate recipe up our sleeves to make in a hurry for our loved ones & this Chocolate & Hazelnut Bake does just the job. Share with your friends who need a little love this week, or even keep them all for yourself
Happiness Balls from Eat Happy
Eating truffles has got to be one of life’s true happy moments & even better when they’re homemade & ridiculously easy. This is one of the most made recipes from Eat Happy. Not technically baking but I couldn’t not include them in this list! With only 5 ingredients these chocolate-y balls of goodness can be thrown together in a matter of moments; it just takes serious patience (and self control) not to devour the mixture before it sets in the fridge!
Sunshine Spiced Chai Granola
This 15 minute Chai & Turmeric Spiced Sunshine Granola is an on the hob job, meaning less hot oven time and more time to enjoy. And it smells just as delicious! Have this granola with a big dollop of yoghurt and seasonal fruit or sprinkle on top of desserts.
